Caitlyn Guenther
Hi, I’m Caitlyn. I joined the House of Colour team in May of 2019. I grew up in West Point, NE and have called Lincoln home for the past 6 years. I never wanted a “side hustle” as I have always had a full-time career I am uber passionate about. After my color consult, I was the girl always pulling out her color wallet and after some encouragement from friends, I concluded that life is short & jumped in!
I work full-time as a business coach at Core Growth Consulting and am also blessed to meet so many wonderful people through HOC. Since 2019, I have had the pleasure of meeting over 350 individuals – some have made me laugh, others have made me cry. I have always had a strong curiosity for people, so this role has filled me up in many ways. I’m forever grateful!
Q&A WITH CAITLYN
my season & style personality:
Winter, Classic Ingenue
before I knew my season, i thought for sure i was going to be a:
I didn’t know enough about House of Color to know there are seasons! When I sat in the client chair in 2017, House of Colour was still fairly unknown and not on my bucket list of things to do. The idea that I couldn’t wear black terrified me! As a winter, I get to keep black but did give up my obnoxious amount of camouflage clothing. Goodbye hunter green! The color did nothing for me and I don’t miss it! As for my black? While a few items still live in my closet, I always choose navy over black.
what i love most about House of colour:
Life can be challenging and is full of decisions. Dressing shouldn’t be on the list of dreaded tasks we have to do each day. I like making one thing on our daily to-do list easy and fun. Once I knew my colors, purchasing clothing and dressing myself was easier AND I feel more confident. I hope to provide all my clients confidence and ease!
A TIP FROM CAITLYN:
It’s a journey! Don’t be overwhelmed! Your wardrobe isn’t going to magically change overnight but it will with time. Have fun with the process and remember that item by item you are rebuilding your wardrobe. Instead of being overwhelmed, I encourage you to celebrate the one or two purchases you buy and add to your closet of colors in your season.
